Discrete event modeling in TDAQ architectures design

In this presentation we highlight use of discrete events modeling in designing architectures for the TDAQ systems in modern HEP experiments. Two examples will be overviewed: second level trigger for ATLAS experiment at LHC and event building architecture for PANDA experiment at FAIR at GSI.
