Macrosimulation of nonlinear dynamic systems for wave shaping applications

The work is dedicated to real time simulation of nonlinear systems like e.g. audio amplifiers. A system is modelled by a nonlinear, dynamic, high order macromodel. The macromodel is first identified on the base of a testing signal. An identification procedure makes use of the harmonic balance technique. Truncated spectra of the testing signals are calculated, then an identification problem is solved to determine the macromodel parameters. Finally the ready macromodel may be used instead of the oryginal system for its real time transient simulation for any input signal.
