A prototype of hydrogen detector is presented in this paper. The prototype is based on a palladium-carbon sensor head and a universal controller. The palladium-carbon sensing layer changes resistance under hydrogen influence. Advanced methods of precision resistance measurements are implemented in the controller. The range of hydrogen concentration detection is from 0 till 10%. The measurements accuracy is 0,1%. The controller complies with European standards for safety requirements for electrical equipment for measurement, control and laboratory use and electromagnetic compatibility.
