Basic charged pion analysis from Ag+Ag at 1.58 AGeV at GSI/HADES experiment

The following presentation shows a basic analysis of charged pions produced in Ag+Ag collisions at 1.58 A GeV obtained during March 2019 beamtime at GSI/HADES experiment. Most of results were achieved during author’s internship at GSI/HADES which took place between July and September of 2019 and resulted in acquisition of charged pions multiplicities alongside with several different transverse momentum vs. rapidity distributions. Analysis starts with the particle identification process based on β vs. p distribution. Subsequently, the acceptance times efficiency and purity corrections in transverse momentum vs. rapidity phasespace are introduced. Finally, the rapidity distributions are constructed and average numbers of charged pions per event are calculated by fitting gaussian function to the rapidity distributions.
