Calibration of 2D vision systems

The article presents basic optical aberrations occurring in optical systems of vision measurement systems. Their impact on image distortion and accuracy of measurements using image analysis were discussed. Methods of image calibration and exemplary measurements carried out on a non-calibrated and calibrated image are presented. An analysis of measurement errors occurring in the implementation of measurements with the use of vision methods is presented.
