Distributed measurement data collecting system with mobile packet transmission

The paper describes a measurement data collecting system. The system gathers the data from a number of distributed, across a wide area sensors, using mobile packet transmission. The data comes from a variety of digital sensors, including temperature sensors with 1-wire communication. The system allows for parallel monitoring of temperatures of the power semiconductors devices in the distributed systems. The proposed solution is equipped with a data acquisition module with 3G/4G packet transmission for remote monitoring. The system allows for detection of an abnormal phenomena in the monitored equipment generally caused by a failure of a single semiconductor power device like CMOS or MOSFET high power transistor. This information is important especially in power electronic systems for evaluation of the system efficiency, current flow symmetry, and allowable output power in a given monitored power electronics device. The structure of the system is described in the paper.
