Selected applications of Fourier Transform in the diagnostics of coal dust combustion process

The correct flow of the combustion process constitutes one of the important issues of the contemporary energy economics. Production of energy worldwide, and especially in Poland, involves combustion of conventional fuels. This is connected with the generation of numerous solids and gases that are harmful to the environment. In order to protect it, various legal regulations, which limit the permissible standards determining the amount of pollutants emitted into the atmosphere, are being introduced. This fact enforces constant development of the methods of analysis, monitoring, diagnostics and combustion process control. The efficiency of the combustion process is influenced by a range of factors, including: proper diagnostic methods, conducting the process under optimal conditions, and the economic aspects.
The main aim of this article is to conduct the analysis which will enable to determine what conditions must be met in order to achieve the most efficient parameters of the coal combustion process, allowing for its diagnostics. The application of Fourier Transform enables to pick the classifier which allows to determine the variability of selected diagnostic parameters of the combustion process.
