Design and fabrication principles of chirped tapered fiber-Bragg-grating based Fabry–Perot cavity

This paper presents the analysis of the possibility of writing a Fabry-Perot resonator within tapered fiber, composed of two chirped Bragg gratings. Both, quantitative and qualitative results are provided. The method for numerical analysis is based on Coupled Mode Theory and Transfer Matrix. Mutual position of the Bragg mirrors versus the tapered fiber diameter, as well as the chirp ratio of the phase mask used during inscription was taken into account. The inscription conditions such as initial strain and exposure time were considered as well. Finally, the paper is summarized with the experimental data, which proves that the presented analysis is correct.
