Influence of reverse polarization in a receiver on capabilities of LED-LED VLC transmission

The reverse polarization influence on properties of light emitting diodes (LEDs) used in a role of photodetectors was experimentally investigated. The conducted research proved that significant improve sensitivity and bandwidth parameters could be obtained by application of appropriate value of the reverse voltage in a receiver. Mentioned influence of the reverse polarization on the quality of transmission has been presented on the example of experimental transmission link based on two, identical, off the shelf red LEDs.
