Searching the short-period variable stars with the photometric
algorithm implemented in Luiza Framework
LUIZA is an efficient and flexible image analysis framework, which has
been developed in the GLORIA project, based on the concepts taken from
the High Energy Physics data analysis.
The photometric algorithm based on ASAS photometry was implemented in
LUIZA and compared with the algorithm based on the pixel cluster
reconstruction and simple aperture photometry algorithm.
Optimized photometry algorithms were then applied to the sample of test
images, which were modified to include different patterns of variability
of the stars (training sample). Differenf statistical estimators are
considered for developing the general variable star identification
algorithm. The algorithm will then be used to search for short-period
variable stars in the real data.
